What is the FNE?

A youth Catholic movement

The FNE teaches responsibility, commitment, leadership, service, purity, and loyalty. FNE youth explore nature, the outdoors, the community, service to others, and the Catholic faith. Amidst the challenges, distractions, emptiness, and addictions that the youth face in our modern world, the mission of the FNE Explorer movement is to save souls.

UIGSE-FSE Affiliates

International Union of Scouts and Guides of Europe

Affiliated with UIGSE-FSE, a movement present in 21 countries, the FNE takes the traditional exploring method created by Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell in England and developed by the Jesuit priest Venerable Father Jacques Sevin in France, and has adapted this century-old method to the American youth. These are all entirely volunteer-run organizations that provide a comprehensive outdoor program designed to assist youth in their mental, physical, spiritual and moral formation. It is our hope that these youth will become saints.

Our Lady of the Annunciation FNE Group

Sponsored by the Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem

Our Lady of the Annunciation FNE group was formed in order to make the FNE program available for the Catholic youth in the West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia area. We currently offer separate units for boys and girls ages 5 to 17, as well as units for young adult men and women ages 18-25. Meetings occur twice a month on Saturdays, with some weekend camps.
